IT’S ALL ABOUT AWARENESS…
.
This can apply to SO many things related to our own LIVES and HABITS…BUT if we specifically focus on the LARYNX…this can apply to VOICE: voice quality, voice use patterns, vocal fatigue, vocal effort, vocal fold tissue health, breathflow, tension, & also reducing laryngeal irritation/hypersensitivity.

NOTICE the FIRST sign of vocal fatigue, vocal effort, &/or laryngeal irritation (or even BEFORE the first sign creeps up & shows its face)
.
ADAPT & ADJUST to a more optimal approach to voice, an improved habitual pattern. Cut into the “cycle” to intentionally take ownership (#chooseyourbestvoicenow ..yes right there in the moment)

RESET the voice, the current pattern of voice use, the approach to vocal production, the heightened sensory receptors, &/or the (likely) breathholding pattern (there are LOTS of ways to do this…)

PREVENT any other instances of effort, fatigue, or irritation by being attentive to how you take care of your voice, how you use your vocal mechanism, & what you FEEL while using voice (just like AWARENESS of the first sign of feeling full can PREVENT overeating/feeling sick/etc., so too can vocal AWARENESS PREVENT the downward voice spiral)…

IMPROVE the current state of your voice, breathflow, tension, & energy by being AWARE in the NOW. IMPROVE the chances that your heightened awareness & ownership of “what to do instead” will reduce or eliminate the occurrence of vocal effort, fatigue, or irritation in the future

CONTINUE onward. Keep going, with new & improved methods in place. With heightened awareness & tools to quickly apply so you can KEEP GOING. Onward, upward, forward.

NOTICE vocal fatigue, vocal effort, &/or laryngeal irritation immediately. Then ADAPT, ADJUST, & RESET so you can PREVENT, IMPROVE, & CONTINUE ON. The sooner the better. Better yet, ANTICIPATE vocal “interference” by PRIORITIZING YOUR VOICE daily. By learning all you can about your VOCAL INSTRUMENT & how you can build your vocal toolbox to ensure vocal reliability, endurance, & performance.
